These terms cover the use of the ISTherapy website and set out the key policies for working with me, Isha Sheikh, as a client. They should be read alongside the privacy policy. Full working arrangements are agreed with each client in a therapeutic contract before therapy begins.

1. Using this website

The content of this website is for general information about my counselling practice. It does not constitute therapy, medical, or psychological advice, and does not create a therapeutic relationship. While I take care to keep the information accurate and up to date, I make no warranties about its completeness. The site is hosted on Amazon Web Services (S3) and served via Cloudflare.

2. About my practice

I am a qualified integrative counsellor and psychotherapist, holding a BA (Hons) in Counselling and the Psychotherapeutic Relationship, and a Registered Member of the BACP (membership no. 00994027). I work in line with the BACP Ethical Framework. I offer therapy to clients aged 16 and above, in person in Leicestershire and online across the UK.

3. Sessions and fees

Sessions are 50 minutes long and usually take place weekly at an agreed time.
Fees are confirmed before therapy begins and are payable by bank transfer ahead of each session.
A free 20-minute introductory call is offered so we can decide whether to work together.

4. Cancellations

Placeholder: Please give at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or rearrange a session. Sessions cancelled with less notice, or missed, are charged at the full fee. (Adjust this notice period to your preference.)

5. Confidentiality and its limits

What you share in therapy is treated as confidential and stored securely, as set out in the privacy policy. There are limited circumstances in which I may need to break confidentiality, wherever possible after discussing it with you first:

Where there is a serious risk of harm to you or another person.
Where a safeguarding concern involves a child or vulnerable adult.
Where disclosure is required by law or a court order.

For clients aged 16 and 17, appropriate consent and safeguarding arrangements are agreed at the outset.

6. Urgent support

ISTherapy is not a crisis or emergency service. If you are in crisis or worried about your immediate safety, please contact the Samaritans on 116 123 (free, 24/7), call NHS 111, contact your GP, or dial 999 in an emergency.

7. Intellectual property

All text, images, and design on this website are the property of Isha Sheikh (ISTherapy) unless otherwise stated, and may not be reproduced without permission.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
